This was taken near my place at a clearing that gives spectacular views to the west.
Used the Canon 300D and the Orion short tube 80mm at prime focus, unfiltered.
The RAW image was converted to jpg for the forum and no other processing was done.
Sunrise over the Tamar river, the sun had just cleared the mountains, a thick smog blanket still covers the valley, the result of moisture, woodfire smoke and temperature inversion within the valley.
Taken 5/7/2005 EOS 20D 18-55 Standard lens @18mm 1/400 th @ F13 ISO400. Cropped and border added in photoshop.

this is taken at Port Stephens at a place called little Beach, near Halifax caravan park, Shoal Bay.
Pentax *istDS, 50-500 sigma APO lens, and loads of luck, and a bottle of crown lager to savour the moment. The image is totally unedited and not touched up by photoshop at all, just used microsoft's XP image resizing tool!
Hi all,
hope this one qualifies due to it's age, but I took this shot of Lhotse (one of the peaks in the Everest group) in Jan 1986. Everest is just showing to the left behind the rock slope, Lhotse is the central peak at 8500m, and the lower peak to the right is Lhotse Shar at 8383m.
35mm shot scanned and has had zero processing. Taken from village of Dingboche (4400m).
Taken yesterday evening while I was in Gladstone with the Canon Ixus 65
The complex settings I used on this photo is very technical so try to keep up...everything on Auto.
Nothing flash but was fun using that 3" screen.
Just for image size reference that boat in the middle of the photo is a huge passenger liner carrying 1000 people...or it could be a fishing boat....lol
Sunset over Cobh (cove) harbour, County Cork, Ireland.
Taken on 13th November 2005.
Fuji Finepix A210.
Un-edited, straight from the camera to you.
The RMS Titanic passengers embarked at this dock.
The sailing ship is the Norwegian training vessel "Roald Amundsen".

Updated my pic to ensure an "in the month" entry - 21 May 2006 Sunset - Albury Eastern Hill Lookout.
Description
When I took this shot I did not notice at first that the grass in the foreground is just touched by the sun, giving it a warm Autumn glow. The gap in the trees forms a semicircle for the sun to shine through, which I thought was great.
Not sure how I can get around the spots that appear in the pic as the Kodak Easy share does not come with any sun filters, but they add to the overall look.
Thanks for looking
Cheers Petra
