Moon 5 February

Hi there!

I had been a little while since I last had a shot at the Moon.

This time I had 2 cameras I could use:the DMK41 and the ASI 120MM. The ASI had had the upper hand on Jupiter over the DMK but how was it going to perform on the Moon?

I caught the Moon early in the morning before going to work. The seeing was average, so was the transparency.

Both the cameras were full of dust spots, sorry

The first 2 pictures were taken with the DMK41, the third one with the ASI 120MM. The magnification was significantly higher for the ASI, hence the lost of definition.

Thank you for looking.

Eric

Thanks Laurie, Graeme and John!

John: there is quite a lot of processing in these picture...

The Bay of Rainbows is such a pretty sight. I hope to do it justice sometime.

I have reworked photo #1 (Copernicus) by reworking levels, sharpening it a bit, slightly up scaling it, and cropping it. It looks more dynamic that way, I think.
