The Sun 25-04

One of my first shots made through my new solar filter I bought off forum member Merlin66.

Got my first sunspot, I'm stoked! Can't wait to get out more on the weekends

Yes. Nice shot. Looks very sharp on my screen too.

Yeah, do give us details. The sun's a target I've not turned my attention to, and I must get around to having a go at ol' sol

Well I used my 10" dob to take these pics and just held my digicam up to the eyepiece and snapped away.

I am planning on using my usual camera I use for my planetary shots on it soon so I can get some nice long avis, but I have found it hard to judge brightness/gamma/focus because there is alot of glare on the camera screen. I might get a piece of paper and tape it around the edges to create a shadow on the screen.

Any chance of bypassing the camera screen and going for live view on a laptop?

Nah, I don't have a webcamera that I can use with my scope, and I don't have a firewire port on my laptop for use with my camera.
