anyone got a telescope they have no use for in Sydney?
Hi Guys and Girls
I have just joined a astronomy group and am awed by what all I can see with a telescope. I love spending time outside, using my iphone to locate the stars and planets. However, since I do not own a telescope, I am unable to see anything detailed since all I am using is my vision.
I would love to see the moons around Jupiter or the rings of Saturn. My Astronomy group has got observation nights once a month however I would like to observe more than that.
Does anyone have an old telescope that they have no use for and wouldnt mind "donating" it to me or maybe selling it for a small price? I dont know much about telescopes so I am trying to get one to find more about it and then when I am more knowledgeable on them, will save up to buy a really nice one.
