IC1848 - The Soul Nebula - Maffei 2

Another gem from the Cassiopeia's Costellation ... a large HII Bubble , the Soul Nebula (Sharpless 2-199, LBN 667) .. and a surprise in bottom right corner: the Maffei 2 galaxy. Discovered by italian astronomer Paolo Maffei in 1971. Usually visible in infrared image because obscured by the Milky Way's foreground dust clouds.

Thanks for looking.
All the best,
Leo

Lovely image Leo love the hot pink and you got galaxy Maffei 2 nicely too, it's almost completely obscured at visible wavelengths.
