Ha and Osc combined in Gimp

G’day everyone, hope it’s a great one for you,
Has anyone tried combining Ha or Luminance captured with mono camera with osc using Gimp? If you have I would be very interested with your work flow using Gimp. I’m using a zwoasi071 osc and zwoasi1600mm pro and filter wheel,
Thanks guys.

hi neil,

for adding Ha, i would select the red channel from the RGB channel. copy into a new file -> New. Paste and select new layer down the bottom right. then copy the Ha over as a new layer. then blend via luminosity method - adjust opacity (maybe down to ~20%) paste blue, green and new HaR as layers into a new document in that order and adjust blending options to 'screen' for red to green and green to blue - then flatten and you will have a HRGB image.

Hope that works

-note there may be an easier way Im not a GIMP expert but this way will work.

Cheers

Russ
