This list of 111 bright NGC objects was compiled as a Tribute to the Discoverers.

The Messier catalogue does not contain far southern objects and is weak on nebulae, especially planetary nebulae. This list covers the whole sky and attempts to create a better balance. It also gives credit to the discoverer of each object.

The list contains 111 (Non Messier) NGC objects:

• 20 Open Clusters (OC)
• 20 Globular Clusters (GC)
• 21 Bright Nebulae (BN)
• 20 Planetary Nebulae (PN) and
• 30 Galaxies (Gxy)
