Thank you Chris :D . I adore the Qantas livery with our Kangaroo and the slight changes of the Roo over the years. I don't much care for the new A330's Kangaroo though as it looks like its face is smashed in :mad2:. So Australian with the our Aussie sunset, I was in love with that breathtaking view. Next time, I'll use a wider lens and try and take a better shot. It was snapped while we were driving and we only had a moment to pull over on the road.
I love your pic of the droplets and oh wow even a bonus spider and web :eyepop:. Very nice work indeedy, thank you.

Is a musical instrument, with a broken string, still a musical instrument ...?
..at least it is not a broken "G" string.... that could be embarrassing ... :)
OK...
The next photo will have "Contrails" in it !
G String..... :lol::lol::lol:
Contrails? Did you say contrails?! :D Oooh-oooh pick me, pick me!
Was such a Marshmallow sky the whole of this day, so I was really looking forward to sunset and I wasn't disappointed.
Aside from some nice sunset pics, I got a bonus show with an Air New Zealand Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner with contrails - pic straight out of the camera - at 39,000 feet from Singapore to Auckland.

I took this last weekend playing with HDR, this is a three shot hand held image at f8, where the Camera chose 1/640, 1/1250, & 1/2500 for the +/- full stop. Blended in HDR Efex Pro 2.

The next shot should be a Picture of a Picture please. E.g. a kid's drawing, a photo of a painting, or any interpretation you like. :)

We seriously lack quality street art here in Devonport, Tas. I always enjoy wandering around Melbourne when I'm there and taking in the amazing art on display in laneways and on buildings.
So, let's have for a bit more:
The next photo should be of Street Art
PS - Cracker of a shot Chris. Almost said i can see the whites of it's eye. But I can't :-)

This thread has been a bit neglected, so maybe I can kick it off again.

Mare Serenitatis, aka Sea of Serenity.:)
The most noticeable feature is the crater Posidonius on the northeast rim of the mare. Mare Serenitatis connects with Mare Tranquillitatis to the southeast and borders Mare Vaporum to the southwest.
A mass concentration (mascon), or gravitational high, was identified in the centre of Mare Serenitatis from Doppler tracking of the five Lunar Orbiter spacecraft in 1968. The mascon was confirmed and mapped at higher resolution with later orbiters such as Lunar Prospector and GRAIL.
Both Luna 21 and Apollo 17 landed near the eastern border of Mare Serenitatis, in the area of the Montes Taurus range. Apollo 17 landed specifically in the Taurus-Littrow valley, and Luna 21 landed in Le Monnier crater.
The next photo should show "random patterns"

Whoops - the sequence went something like Power...Cogs...Serenity and ended up at "random patterns".
Maybe the F-111 afterburners produced random patterns of exhaust gases? ;)

Take your pick, they all seem pretty random to me.
I know it's traditional to post just one, but it seemed like I needed a bit more to support my contention.
In line with these, the next photo should be a Magnificent Sunrise or Set. Something way beyond the average would be nice.

I hope that this meets the criteria of Mechanical Complexity. if not, at least it may be interesting to many who wondered how they did that.
The next photo should be the opposite and show something of Mechanical Simplicity

I discovered this thread a couple of days ago, went back to the first post of many years ago, and thought what a good idea this is. Then I thought what a pity that the conversation has been dormant for such a long time! So I figured I'd make a rainbow and take a pic of that, being vaguely prismatic. But rainbows need sun. I looked everywhere, even under rocks, but I couldn't find Sun.
So I took a pic of the prisms inside a cheap erect image diagonal I bought recently for experimentation.
So now we need a new theme. I think something easy is best, to keep things flowing.
So the next picture will have in it anything to do with a day in summer.
Rain, hail, snow, shine. Whatever. Even the cricket if you must...
Regards, Andrew
Good on you Andrew!!!
Great photo and topic for the next photo.
