Hi Jo.

Attaching the camera to it isn't a big problem. There are plenty of adapters around to do that. I'm sure Bintel or someone similar would have them. But if you are going to attach the DSLR to the dob you are probably going to be disappointed unless you're only going to image the Moon or maybe Jupiter or Saturn. If you're dob is on an equatorial platform you could do widefield by piggy backing the camera but Prime focus (what your describing) really needs and equatorial mount and tripod for success.

Have you looked at Iceman's "How to Page" on imaging with a Dob?
