You are correct in a manner of speaking Peter - the full well depth of the QHY10 is 45000 electrons while I was comparing this to my other camera a QSI583wsg which only has a full well depth of 25500 electrons.
A noticeable difference for me even on first usage.
I liked the first impression too as I felt it was more "Batman begins" rather than the usual BrisVegas technicolour. At the moment I'm processing it again (you listening Mike?) to bring out more detail and structure but maintaining the look of the original.
