Thanks a heap Paul. It took a while to find a nice balance with the framing. I took a few images, and decide I had to try and show the linking of the two objects by the dark cloud.

Thanks Paul ! It is something special especially with wider fields we have these days. To be able to fit both objects and show the amazing star field that it is nestled in is real treat.

Cheers Marc! I have found in the past, and it surprised me that with a fair bit of dew around that there are moments of really stable air that lets the ccd peer that little deeper into these nebs.. not all the time, but you just have to have a go and see what comes out!

Thanks Migel.... yep, me too! Funny, while I love colour, it was always those classic B&W portraits that really stuck in my mind....
I certainly am looking forward to getting some colour... but at this stage I'll have to wait.
