Thanks for the comments, I will now have to wait until work allows me to get some SII data but I doubt much will change up there. This was an interesting exercise but I now wonder whether to go for the SII or to redo the whole lot with 10minute exposures which will probably add a great deal to the image overall. I also want to capture some standard RGB so I can mask the stars and get an image a little more realistic.

I will see what happens with work commitments and probably finish this image first then try for something much longer. Eta Carina is a good target at the monemt with it starting quite low in the sky and allowing very long sessions. If only I was a bit younger and able to stay up all night without sleeping all day.
