The only thing i'd see it voiding would be in the way of tech support. I'm aware some big brand name OEM's stipulate that if you put more then 3GB of RAM in a system with a 32 bit OS, that they will not support any issues that may result. In other words, they don't want to have 100's of customers ringing up complaining about not seeing more than 3GB and blaming them.  |
You are probably right. I have corsair dominator 1333 in my desktop and I clearly remember reading the warning in the instructions which is why I installed the 64 bit system. The techs at the shop where I bought all the bits and pieces also told me that 32 bit vista could only see 3.2 gig of ram so I would be wasting my time getting any more if I intended using vista 32. Perhaps the boffins can tell you why
