Uninstalling applications in Windows does not usually really uninstall them. My advice:
1) uninstall as normal
2) remove any leftover folders/files from the program files directory
3) remove any leftover folders/files from your c:\users\username directory
4) edit the registry (HKLM\software typically) and remove. Note: use the registry at your own risk. If you make the wrong mistake, you can screw your computer. If you're not sure, don't touch it. Second note: always back up your registry before touching it. You can do this by right clicking on "computer" and selecting "export" from the drop down menu. Save the file on your Desktop, and call it something like backup.reg. If you screw up, do NOT reboot your computer. Double click on the backup.reg file and it'll import all of the registry settings back as they were before.
