Well the clouds lifted last night and I finally got the new baby out and was disappointed
I spent quite a while checking collimation and comparing with other eyepieces till I finally tweaked to the cause. In my hurry to have a look I didn't give the scope time to cool to ambient. The views after about an hour were absolutely brilliant...... definitely happy now
