Thanks Anthony, I had a go with the 6" RC (f9) but the 10" is so much better on the faint stuff. I have a good view from north to south but my east has a large paperbark tree so I have to wait for objects to rise quite high before I can image them.

I am quite surprised as to how well the 10" rides on the HEQ5 but I do have it bolted to a pier, I would be nervous putting it on the supplied tripod. The skywatcher f4.7 is about the same weight as a GSO f4, but kitted out it's still at the max weight for the mount.
