That was a worthwhile exercise, Colin. Causes me to see the region - um - in a new light. Most particularly the dark dusty wedge heading off toward 4 o'clock, I've always seen just as the background to the nebulosity, but you've brought it out as an interesting region in its own right.
I see it as the front half of a black rat, seen from above, facing our left (toward the keyhole region), and further toward 4 o'clock (you can tell we've had kids visiting) the silhouetted beaky face of the bad guy from Minions.
