Hey all,
A bit of useful info for those using computers in the dark: I just bought myself a i-Rocks Electron Illuminescence Keyboard. The thing is brilliant!
It glows blue (a soft glow) behind the keyboard. The light has a convenient easy to find on/off switch. The keyboard is surrounded by a chrome strip which makes it easy to find in the dark when the keyboard is not illuminated.
Solid construction, slim design not wasting any space but providing a full sized arrangement of keys. Very nice to type with.
The num lock/caps lock/scroll lock lights are a little bright, I might put tape over them, not sure yet.
I got mine from www.mrgadget.com.au (http://www.mrgadget.com.au) , prompt delivery (orderred it friday and it arrived today - in WA!). Cost me $79 including postage.
There are cheaper illuminated keyboards out there, but I found they were either big and bulky, didn't have an on/off switch for the light or had some other downside. www.citysoftware.com.au (http://www.citysoftware.com.au) has it cheaper ($60+postage) but 10-15 day wait.
Very happy :D
Roger.
