BO/TMB Planetary!

Today I finally snagged a 6mm TMB/Burgess Optical EP from Astromart.

These things are like gold nuggets on AM and get snatched up as soon as they appear. Does anyone here have any experience with these? I have heard many great things about them.

The best part was the price, it was only $49 US.

Just wish I had a scope to use it on as I recently sold my scope to dugunsz.

I hate to tell you this, but that particular one only cost $49 brand new.
They were called the "garage sale" version and were sold for less than the others. The final 6mm version isnt available yet. Still from all reports you are getting an excellent eyepiece for the price and are possibly the first Aussie to own one :)

Yes I realise that it is that version however it still must be excellent as it keeps getting snapped up ultra quick.

My ep comes with the retaining ring upgrade from Burgess whcih supposedly fixes the problems with scatter on the garage sale version.

Either way it is a good way for me to sample what TMB has to offer.

will be very interested in how it performs. a few of us are waiting for them to sort out the 5mm and 6mm and then bring some in.

Dont get too excited people as I am currently scopeless. The EP will just sit there until I finish my 16" truss project. At the rate I'm going atm, it will be finished in the year 2010 :doh:
