Hey folks, I sold my LX 90 OTA and the handbox never thinking I would need it again. Now I have the insane idea of putting an old Celestron C8 back onto the fork mount (which I never chucked). Can I bypass the need to operate it without the handbox- using autostar on my pc?
I seem to remember the USB connection on Meades is via the handbox.
My mount has two aux ports and I also still have the old 909 module if that helps plus a serial USB adaptor.
Any help please
NB it's a four year old LX 90 8" fork mount with GPS.

Graham.

The short answer is No.
All the electronics to control the LX90 scope are in the handbox.
If you are good in electronics you could probably build something.
It would be far cheaper to buy an autostar controller.
