Hi guys, just an question on Bookmarks.

I use Seamonkey on both my Desk Top, and my Laptop, and they suit me fine and work well.

The Desk Top has heaps of Bookmarks, however the Laptop only has a few.

Can I transfer my bookmarks from the Desk Top to the Lappy, or am i being a bit ambitious here.

I often transfer other stuff through a Belkin Transfer Cable but was not sure if Bookmarks would work the same, any suggestions would be much appreciated, thanks in advance.

Leon

Leon,

If you go to the top menu in your browser to File >> Import and Export and then step through the wizard it will write out a "bookmarks.htm" file. As you go through the wizard, it prompts for what part of your "favourites" tree to export. Make sure you select the top of the Favourites tree at that point so that you get the whole sub-folder content. Then just do the same thing on your other computer to import. If this terminology doesn't align with your operating system or browser, I'm sure others will assist.

Cheers,
Bruce

There are also plugins for many browsers that link to an online service which stores your bookmarks. So all your devices will have the same bookmarks, anything you add a bookmark on one device its available on the others too.
