Maxim Dl guiding question

Hey folks, got Maxim Dl working with SSAG last night, but then I shut down and parked for clouds to pass, went back out and connected my CCD and then SSAG and when I tried to re-instigate the guiding -even to re-calibrate I got the message " you must enter a value between -90 and +90" or something like that. It didn't say where you enter it. I put all the values back to default and tried again and same thing happened.
What's going on?

Maxim DL uses the position of the scope to adjust the guiding parameters. You will get that error message when Maxim DL has lost the connection to the telescope, or the telescope is not reporting a valid position (for example if it's parked)
You can enter the value manually just to get rid of the error, but it's not the root cause of the problem.
Go to Camera Control->Guide->Scope Dec and enter a valid number.

Later on, if you start using a planetarium program to assist with the gotos, see if you can link this info to Maxim, and this will take care of you having to enter it each time. Or use the built in planetarium function within Maxim.
Additionally, if you have calibrated, then there is no need to redo this each time, unless you have moved the guide-scope/guide-camera etc. If you are lucky enough to not have to undo anything, you'll find it is already calibrated.
