Hi all,

I have been using ArtemisCapture and DSS. DSS hasn't been the best for my scope (long 2350mm focal length) and we are looking at getting some software without paying heaps (budget around $200). Astroart seems to fit the bill - anyone here using it much? Or are there other recommendations?

We like the software to be fairly straight forward and simple. It also needs to support the camera (ATIK 320E). We use a QHY5 with PHD at present for guiding - which is ok, but we are open to other options if the software is a complete package. At present we have little in the way of processing software - so are not getting the best out of our images.

Any help?

Grant,
I use DSLR programs where you would need CCD Programs. I think the cheapest version of Maxim DL is around the 200 mark and can guide, stack and do other post processing stuff.

Cheers,
Nathan

Thanks.

I have biten the bullet and gone for AstroArt after using the demo. Euro software suits a euro camera it seems...

I will let you know how it goes in the long term! :)

Grant,
I've been using AstroArt for a few years now. It works with all my cameras; DSLR, ATik 16ic, ATik314L, Lodestar, QHY5 etc.
It will meet your needs nicely.
