Hi there,
I am interested to try CCDSoft, but I am worried I cannot get a current manual to review it.
One of the main issues I have is, can I connect CCDSoft to my mount via ASCOM?
I do not wish to use an ST4 connection, as I only want one USB cable and one 12v cable going to my OTA (using a Mount Hub Pro).
Camera: STL
Mount: AP900
Thanks for any help.

There is an ASCOM driver for a camera but I don't know how you would use it to guide without the ST4 connection.
Nope, won't work. You need the st4 cable. You can do it in maxim dl however.
The only mount ccdsoft will do that with is the paramount with pulse guide.
Generally most software bisque software Does not play nice with ascom.

Hi Rally,
Thanks for the link, I know of this software as it came with the mount. I was just exploring the idea of using CCDSoft. Looking at Maxim DL, it seems the best option for me, which includes plate solving, click an centre options, fits update of information from the mount via ASCOM, nice capture routines and the ability to save these for future use, etc.
Some people like Fords, others Holdens, and this then must go for capture software too.
Thanks again,
Steve
