Hi guys,
Sorry to disappoint you all, but I bombed out on the first question of my Millionaire Hotseat filming.
I was the sixth contestant, the first two elected to pass early. The third guy *(who used to be a male go-go dancer at King Cross Whiskey a go-go club!!! :eyepop:) managed to score 4 questions, then bombed out.
The fourth and fifth contestant bombed out on their first questions (both of which I can answer!).
I was given the question “which movie was Bill Murray not in?” The choices where Groundhog Day, Lost in Translation, Accidental Tourist or Caddyshack.
I answered Caddyshack as I thought it was Dan Akyord.
Even if I got that question right (Accidental Tourist), I would have struggled with the following question:
Which sport is Jan Stephenson associated with: tennis, golf, swimming or squash?
Answer: Golf.
The last two questions were easy, but I was already out.
In the end the first contestant (who did a strategic pass early) got in and won $20k.
But it was a good experience none the less. Eddie was nice and chatty too :).
Will let you know when the episode will be shown on TV and look out for my (ahem) colourful shirt :D

Thanks Bart, pop culture and sports are not my greatest strengths, I am more of a science, history and current affairs/politics kinda of nerd. :nerd:
It is for a 5:30pm audience, so I should have known better...

Cheers Ken,
The crew was very professional and friendly (until I bought up your name , only kidding).
Eddie for his part was very friendly and made a real effort at making sure the contestant was relaxed.
Bart, I was the sixth contestant, with only 4 questions to go, and two more contestant behind me, so if I passed, there is virtually no way of me getting back in.

That's the game. I would have answered both of those, in particular, correctly. Whose to say on a subsequent question I wouldn't have done the same as yourself? No-one knows them all.
Given that, I can't believe you didn't know who Jan Stephenson was - even if you aren't into sport. She's still the most famous female golfer - ever:
Jan Stephenson...
Bad luck Bo, but still a great experience!!
I knew the answers, here at home, but there I would have been blankety blanks. :help:
I knew the answers too :D
But I'm sure I would have bombed out on everything else.
Yeah Bo,:P I can't believe you didn't know who Jan Stephenson is (re pic of her that Chris posted above came to mind straight away). :P:P:P
Goon on you for having a go, what a great experience that must have been all the same.;)
Can't wait to see you on TV, pls don't forget to let us know when.

Bad luck Bo. I would have got that question only because I'm a film buff, but would have bombed out on any sports questions!
The new Docklands studio of GTV? Not a patch on the Bendigo Street Richmond studios, as Ken would no doubt agree ;)

Hi Bo,
You had a go, It could hve been different. Luck of the draw.
Just to digress a little: I began watching the comp, Hotseat, after you posted.
A question from Eddie, " Where does the Earth rank in size of the planets. The options were, 3rd, 4th, 5th, or 6th.
It was the contestant's first question. The contestant was considering 3rd. Then reflected, "Third rock from the Sun."
He guessed fourth. Bye bye.
Hope that makes you feel better.
Cheers
