Just wondering how do they calculate fov eg 60* or 100* thanks for any info another head-scratcher for me . :confused2:

Hi David,
If you have a 12mm ep with 65 fov and on a scope with 600mm focal,
then,
Mag= 600/12 or 50x
afov = fov/mag or 65/50 or 1.3 deg
The higher the mag, the lower will be the afov.

and a compiled QB 64 program that will run on Windows 7

Thanks Barry & Mike that simulator is handy for newcomers give them an idea what would be a good ep for different apitures (i think that's how its spelt) and lengths an ed80 world be way different than a 12in mak thanks again
