Anyone used PTgui for mosaics and panoramas?

I am looking for a good mosaic/panorama software for landscape type images.

Has anyone used the above?

Any other software you'd recommend? I have been using Panorama Factory and it is very good but I don't think it does mosaics.

What do you mean by mosaic?

AutoPano Pro is the best one I've found for panos.

What I meant was mosaic being rows and columns as opposed to
simply rows in a simple panorama. I suppose a panorama is a loose term that could mean either.

Panorama Factory as far as I know only stitches rows.

Thanks for the AutoPano Pro link. I see they have a nice electronic tripod head for taking panos as well.

So does gigapanstitch and their head which looks almost like a Meade Alt Az mount.

AutoPano Pro can do any type of stitching - vertical, horizontal etc.

I'm not sure if it can create the 360deg pano's - i think it can but I haven't tried it.

I've tried a few pano programs, but always come back to the free Hugin. Worth a try for the price :)

Hi Greg,
I use Panorama Factory, and I believe it does a great job.
Yes it does do multi row stitching.....Its not automated, but works ( i tried it) Here is the link on how-to..... (http://www.panoramafactory.com/multirow/index.html)
I have also used Hugin, but didn't find it as intuitive as PF. That might be cause I havn't used it all that much.....must try again:question:.

I have not tried multi row with the panorama factory but I have joined two panoramas together vertically but it did take a lot of fiddling to get the sizes identical

I must look at what bartman says works.

Yes Barry:), that is pretty much the gist of it but it goes into details on how to get those sizes identical. Most of the data for the camera lens, correction etc etc is applied to the following rows which helps the process along. I think once you have done a few it will become easier....:confused2::D

Other than the moon shot for which I use iMerge, I also use Hugin too.
