Recovered some more forgotten data. :)

Didn't have too many subs to play with here, hence the noise level could be better.

I've very much like to re-visit this perennial favourite with a 16803 chip

the blue lagoon certainly looks agitated. for not much data its not bad, quite pleasing to look at actually

Looks nice. I like the subtle transparent type look. Narrowband is often too much in your face.

Another cool shot. My favourite DSO.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks Greg. I've really only started to understand the subtle processing steps with NB, much is dealers choice, but so far I like the more subdued look.

The SII data shows many interesting edges... more the pity the KAF11000 I used then was/is somewhat blind in that part of the spectrum.

Thanks Marc. Your comments are always appreciated :)

Yes that's a good NB lagoon. I like the restrained treatment you have given it. Certainly would benefit from more data though.

Cheers

Steve

Thanks Steve. Yep. More data.:cloudy::rain: I wish

......but was happy to find what I did some time back tucked away in a directory I cryptically called "NBM"

BTW my RHA is now in Oz clearing customs as I write :D

I think we'd all like to use a large camera but
how many people could hang 4.6 Kgs off their focuser?

Still - a great photo & I look forward to seeing what
can be done with a larger camera.

I have had no significant problems with my 14" RCOS, as focusing is acheived through the secondary.....but yes, the STX is a *big* camera!

BTW while my "underwater housing" quip was a joke.... It has been raining for months here! ... with many NSW towns now flooded...and literally underwater!

Excellant rendition of an old favourite.

I really enjoyed looking at this one Peter.

Thanks, I'm quite surprised by the number of views & positive feedback this one has attracted.

There was only 30 minutes of data in each SII:Ha:OIII channel.... not optimal, particularly with SII !

Without doubt I'll re-image it with the STX an my soon to be delivered 12" Riccardi Honders :)

Lucky bugger. Did you pull some strings to get the AP Honders?

That should be really something.

Greg.

Lucky ?....a little poorer for sure.....they 'ain't cheap! :)

No strings.... Put my name down on the AP wait list for a scope.... I kid you not...over a decade ago.

Sharp and so much detail.

A great closeup photo Peter.

Its a lot cheaper though than the Stellare Officina equivalent. Almost half. Lucky the exchange rate is so good.

I put my name on the RHA list a few days after it opened so hopefully not too far off.

Greg.

Good luck with it. I understand some more may leave AP's doors late 2012

Glad you like it. Long FL certainly helps :)

Nice version of the Lagoon indeed, I like the subtle look of this and the colours compliment it very well. Thanks for the view.

Thanks for the feedback. I think I'm past the saturated neon-lights look :).
