I gave the Horsehead neb a shot last night. It was a fluke getting a pic of it considering the moon was so bright and i dont have any filters at all.

Can't really see it. adding blue to the pic brings out more details. might have another go at it tonight. :P

I can see it clearly! This is your best shot yet, I reckon. The horsehead is a difficult object. Yes, just wait till the Moon buggers off, and you'll get even better shots.

Thats it ezy...you are now elevated to demigod :prey2:status...i have seen guys with 15,000 dollar setups have trouble getting that detail out of the horse head....its all very well for all these blokes to compare shots of the orion neb and the tarrentella, have yet to see one decent attempt at the horsehead..(im sure they are out there...but i aint seen any yet)...untill now that is...i can see it clear as a bell in the naturl red...well done mate..can you give us some details??exp etc?

thanks guys. I really thought it was a shocker but gave it a go anyway. my best shot steve? :P no wayy.

Thanks for your comments starcrazzy. I get sick of taking pics of the same objects eg: M42, ETA Carina etc..etc. need abit of challenge ;)

The Horsehead was 8 x 2 minute shots at 10:22pm . Had to jump from star to star and taking random shots around it to find it. :)

goooooo DSI!!!

I think its your best shot yet aswell...simply because of its difficulty..At a star party recently a guy there had the latest meade 8" sct with gps and all the bells and whistles and the dsi....he did manage to get a shot of the horse, but it took him most the night and it was no where near as good an image as yours....you say its a shocker, but infact its pure genius mate...well done...how bout gettin some of the galaxy's in the leo system...push that dsi, for the rest of us that have one,you are our champion...:D
