After asking a few questions about buying accessories including a barlow I came to the conclusion to buy a few eyepieces instead.

As below in my signature it states I got the 25mm and 9mm that came standard with the scope.

Am I better off buying a few EP's and replace the stock ones or buying a barlow to use with the current EP's?

Does anyone here have standard Celestron EP's and how different are they to other EP's?

Been looking at the Omni Series because it is one I can afford, $80+ for EP is too high for me.

OZScopes sell Omni EP's at around $85 each but US sites have them for around $20 US. Is this series any good?

If not can someone recommend me one?

The tabs I have opened in my browser now for Telescope shops are.
- Bintel (AUS)
- B&H (US)
- AstroShop (AUS)
- Optics Planet (US)

Probably purchasing from one of them stores.

Thanks!

the 130slt is a short focus reflector correct?

the normal GSO (lookup Andrewscomm)/Bintel ep's from andrews or bintel would be just as good as the omni's , if you can find it get an ultimo barlow or TV barlow secondhand - or even the better GSO ED ones, $85 imo is overpriced for the omni ep's

the trouble short f/l scopes eat cheap ep's for breakfast, the 25m you got is prob ok - the 9mm is the one you want to work at...
for planets you'll want higher mag, maybe 150x (so a 4mm ep)- in your scope the sharpest cheapest view will be from an ortho - they can be had for <100, you could also look for a TMB planetary ep - though not quite as sharp, they give a wider field of view,
for general dso views i would have thought about 100x in your scope. the tab has a longer eye distance from the ep also, the ortho/plossl ep's require you to almost have your eye on the glass in the short focal lengths

i would perhaps puy some wanted ad's here, people prob have a few GSO floating around you can have for not much, then find the sizes you like viewing with & buy some better ones when ready

Yep its a reflector.

I am having a bit of trouble locating the EP's on the site.

Is it better to get a 4-6mm with eye relief or not cause I have seen on the 4mm the hole is so small!
