Has anyone managed to connect a 20D to software running in the 64 bit verson of Windows 7 (actually Windows 2008 R2)?

According to http://www.usa.canon.com/app/html/windowsupport/win7page.html (http://www.usa.canon.com/app/html/windowsupport/win7page.html)the 20D is compatible only with the 32 bit version.

Run it with either DSLR SHutter or BackyardEOS - connecting via a using a DSUB USB / 3 pin bulb cable mode. BYE doesn't want Canon EOS utility their in the mix anyway.

if you go into your camera settings menu change the communication to ptp.
then plug it into your computer windows 64 bit will find the drivers for it . but the eos utilty still will not work but you can use other program to access the 20 d i had the same problem

The only know solution is to configure a 32bit virtual machine and install there the 32bit drives. I have feedback from APT users that this configuration works absolutely fine :)
