Saw this Dragon lizard sitting on an ant mound, late in the afternoon.I used the Canon 400L and 50D at 1/320 of a second,F7.1.iso 400,manual mode.hand held.Fairly pleased to get the whole lizard in the frame.1st image-no cropping. Some work in levels.2nd crop of the head area.Target 6.5 m.I had to fiddle with the settings and focus point.
Thoughts and view points welcome. Thanks for looking-Chris

A most cooperative subject!
You've certainly got the sharpness in these pics nailed Chris.

Awesome clarity ... your nature shots are second to none on this forum .. if not that ... yer up there with the best .. and they are hand held .. I couldnt get that clarity with my camera on my Titon !!!!!

Very good shots Chris - I prefer #1 myself personally, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with either shot. Sharp, good exposure, lovely clean background. Nailed it.
