Camp Sites in Oberon Area

Just playing about in Google Maps. Here's a map of camp sites local to Oberon:

Apart from bushwalking and adventure motorcycling I've added comments relevant to astronomy so you can see if the site does it for you.:)

Let me know what you think. It's been a while since I've been to all of these spots, so some info that's sketchy I've indicated with question marks.

No... Duckmaloi is still there...:P I can't for the life of me think of a public camping area at Duckmaloi... do you have a place in mind Chris?

Hi Al :)

I was last there with the Landrover Club. We camped on the river banks, and I remember that we were there for a cleanup of some public area where the bins were overflowing. It's been better since then I believe. So, that can't be much help. I remember it was very nice though! :lol: I'll see if I can find the itinerary.

There is crown land on the eastern side of the old ford/crossing. Its been a long time since I was last in there. It was badly eroded and I don;t remember any facilities like bins though.:shrug:
