I built one of the cheapest observatories I've ever done in the UK, based on a 8' x 6' Argos tin shed (TSO). It worked so well, when I relocated to Belgium I brought it with me.
Took three weeks to "negotiate" ;) an acceptable location in the garden, and one day to reassemble.:D
I've also rigged up Team Viewer from the observatory laptop to the office.
Just need some clear skies...

Lovely setting, it really blends in with the scenery and belies its real purpose, although a word of caution – EddieT may come after you as he has the original Tin Shed Observatory (http://astroshed.com/)!;):)
Cheers

Beautiful English garden you've got there. Well done :)

Unfortunately not an English garden but a Flemish garden!
With all the rain we've had since coming here - no wonder the garden looks so good!!!!!
(Coming from ten years of drought in Heathcote - a BIG differnce)

Like many things in life - it's a compromise....
It's actually not as bad as it appears. There's a tree to the north, and the nearby shrub "masks" a very large tree to the south. I can get the East to South and SW to NW....
The artificial lighting around me is pretty bad, but with spectroscopy it's not that much of an issue.
