View Full Version here: : Hotmail trouble still and again, some help please
Hi Guys, still the problem exists with my Hotmail account, and it is getting frustrating to say the least.:mad2:
I can access any page or link on the WWW, but do you think Hotmail will open or work properly, not on your life.
On the rare occasion it will open, but most times it will just be a blank white screen.
Would signing up with a new account help.
Alice accesses it fine on her machine, ;) but no go on mine, some suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank You.
Leon

Hi Leon,
I'm not sure exactly what problems you have and are dealing with. From what you saying, the culprit may not even be Hotmail but something specific to your pc.
However if you are available to change email services provider, I've not doubts inviting you trying gmail (google mail).
Once you open an account with them, you can also import in it your existing contacts from your email account.
Also gmail allows attachments up to 25 MBs, while Hotmail, as far as I remember is still stuck to 10.
Hope it may help

I have had similar problems with hotmail and a couple of other sites when operating from a different area using telstra next G. I have even noticed similar problems between my bigpond wireless and bigpond ADSL at the same time from home.

I use Google mail, but the hopefully the same can apply for Hotmail although never tested it.
Use your normal email program and setup a IMAP4 receipt of emails. This allows you to receive Hotmail emails without deleting them from the Hotmail server.
IMAP4 is I find one of the best method of receiving emails. I can check them on 3 computers I use all up as welll as my iPhone
Many thanks for you reply's in will see what can be done over the next day or so.

I've used hotmail since 2005 & apart from the odd time the site's been down, I've never really had a problem with it
Well lucky you John, this place is driving me silly, but i will persevere

Leon
Try putting "Hotmail" URL as a "Trusted Site" in Internet Explorer's "Internet Options > Security" option
