I don't know if you meant it but I thought I'd bring that to your attention from your other thread on Rho. You're not that far out! :)

Yes, the thought did pass my mind about a mosaic. I might make that my project for astrofest this year.
Having both pics side by side like that. You can definitely see the superiority of the Tamron over the Nifty 50.

I've been very happy with what I've accomplished too.
I can't remember the last time we had clear skies over new moon. And with more predicted for the rest of the week, I'm going to be more than tired by the end of it.

I've just been re-enjoying your shot jj. You really have composed it well, Cat's Paw to Omega and all the M&Ms through the center. And your processing and colour balance looks almost 3D

Jjj superb image

What was your 550d mounted on ?

I would love to get into widefield

Thanks

jjjnettie

Stu, it was mounted on top of my ED80 which was riding on the HEQ5Pro.
Wide field is so stress free. It's a real pleasure to do.

WOW JJJ I'm a bit late on the scene and havent been on lately because Telstra the incompetent fools that they are have once again left me with no Internet for the past week, but that's a stunner in every way!! Crisp and colorful with all the detail. If I were you I would be blowing that up as large as possible and hanging that on the wall!
A well deserved IOTW

Cheers Daniel.
