Brandon eyepieces from the 70's - how well do they perform when compared to modern eyepieces?
What is a realistic price to pay for these eyepieces in excellent condition? Are you better off buying newer ones of other brands for the same price?
Regards,
Andrew:thumbsup:

IMO the biggest thing is the fov difference, the brandonnwillnhave good sharpness & contrast, but can't compete based on the fov difference. I don't mind this & enjoy the god images these old ep's provide.
As for price how long s a piece of string, some go for as low as 100, but I have seen mid 100's commonly on CN

A review you might find interesting Andrew: http://www.cloudynights.com/ubbarchive/showflat.php/Cat/1,2,3,4,5,8,9,10/Number/1029367/page/0/view/collapsed/sb/5/o/all/fpart/1
To summarise, Brandon best on Moon, Televue plossl best on Jupiter, binoviewer(two eyes) better than either.
