EqMOd and what software to control G11 (g2)

Anything special need to be done to set up ASCOM to operate the G11 and any recommendations for a star map program

I had the ASCOM pad static testing the other night pressed one of the directional buttons the telescope slewed but would not stop even after pressing the button again had to switch it off at the power point

Don't confuse EQMod with ASCOM. EQMod is specifically for the Synta mounts and shouldn't work with Gemini.

I understand there is an ASCOM driver now for Gemini. Not sure if you've seen this thread?
