Hi All,
Im interested in getting a quality barlow but unsure which one.
I use my ED80 primarily for wide field astro (imaging with a 450D) but love using it for visual too. So thats my main scope. I also have a 6" F5 celestron reflector too which I initially started out using my 900nc webcam on Jupiter and Saturn and the moon. That was great fun and I would like to try webcam imaging again but this time with a barlow and the ED80 if possible. Would a 2x or 4x 2" Televue Powermate be a good option for either scopes mainly imaging and occasional visual? Is a 2x better or the 4X more suited to my short focal length scopes? I am under the impression that the 4x is better suited for imaging and the 2x better for visual. Are there any issues reaching focus?
The eyepieces Im using are the standard 20mm and 5mm that came with the gold tube ED80.
Any comments as always would be greatly appreciated
Many thanks
Damian
