Well, even though scope time has been a bit limited I've had a chance to spend some time looking through my new 13mm T6 Nagler, and I'm very very very happy with this eyepiece :D

The contrast and crispness of the views are beautiful, and the large FOV means I spend less time nudging the dob...it's taken a little time to get the feel of the eye relief, but now it's no problem and I'm finding it very comfortable.

Overall, WOW!

(the only possible downside is now i've begun to think i might need a better focusser...)

Hi Stephen, having a good widefield eye pieces sure makes for better observing, both comofort (less nudging dob) and more contrast/detail is present, that's for sure. You'll notice now, you have less tolerance for mediocre glass . Congratulations on the Nagler purchase. I don't see you stopping at one but...

Hi Stephen, as a 13mm type 1 Nagler owner for twenty years and ten of those I used it in my 8" SCT:D
It is my favourite eyepiece and is now mostly used bin my 16" Dob and still gives me great views

Hi Suzy and Ron,

less tolerance is right....I just love the detail with this eyepiece. Considering the enjoyment I'm getting out of it at the moment, I reckon the cost is entirely justified...$650+ for a 26mm Nagler is another matter altogether....oh well, I can hope and dream....:prey:

But a 27mm Panoptic..... .....just maybe......

It's great to hear this, it seems to be a very well-regarded and versatile eyepiece....I might've made a good choice :)
