Yesterday I picked up a Spyder3pro. I've gone through the calibration process and can see the difference pre and post calibration as the Software that comes with it lets you switch back and forth between the calibrated and uncalibrated settings.
I notice however that when I shut down and re-start the laptop it seems to revert to the pre-calibrated settings. I'm running XP pro. What Am I missing here?
Peter
First find the name of the profile that Syder3Pro saved it as.
Then go to Control Panel | Color | 3rd tab (Devices) and choose that file as default under "color profiles associated with this device".
Hope that helps.

Andrew,
I don't seem to have Color in the control panel?
Try this Microsoft link to download the applet. (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?familyid=1E33DCA0-7721-43CA-9174-7F8D429FBB9E&displaylang=en)
See how you go with it, handy to have.

That worked however I need to go into Colour each time I reboot and re-select the profile to make it apply.
Thanks Andrew
hmmm, I would have thought that making it the default profile would fix it.
Try copying the Colorvision Startup exe file into your Startup directory.
In my case I have this in Startup.
"C:\Program Files\ColorVision\Utility\ColorVisi onStartup.exe"
Open your Startup Dir and see if it's in there already, else put a copy of it in there and see how you go.

After installing the color applet and restarting it seems to be working now - thanks for the advice.
