It is 9.5 Meg. Is that very big? I only have dial-up.

Ken, will take ~ 35/45 mins. (1 meg = ~ 5 to 6 mins on average).
:D L.
ps. Depends on how much else you try to D/L, ATST.

U would be so much better off on ADSL. It must b. very frustrating on dialup. Takes only 55 secs. to download the file on a 1.5Mb link.

I'm not sure re; BB in Ballarat. I think Ken was asked about it before somewhere, but still not avail. from memory. Cost comes into it too. :D L.
ps. Just D/L'd VMA again. It's 14.2 meg & took about 70 mins............

Strange, my file is 9,689K *.zip i.e. 9.5Mb - dunno why it would suddenly be 14Mb?
Nice prog. the Solar System Simulation. I've tried it out and it will do some very nice simulations to help you visualize how the planets & stuff move around relative to each other. Even does comets etc. Worth a look.
Thx for the tip! :)

Sorry argo, not hijacking, just explaining.....
Rochler, Apparently it's a totally new version of VMA. When unzipped, it's over 107 meg!, & that does not include any photos. Lots of extra megs there too. :D L.

Rochler, no we don't have Broadband here yet. And as Laurie stated "Cost comes into it too". I think I can get Broad band via my CDMA mobile phone but the cost is ridiculous!!! Two hundred and something to connect, another two hundred and something for the hardware (a small box with an aerial) and a hundred and something per month! Stuff that!!!!

Have you looked into getting sattelite connection. Thats what i have at home. Living 45 minutes out of the nearest small town i don't think broadband is likely to come too soon.
I'm not to sure about prices though. But after years of dealing with dial up the sattelite connection is a welcome relief.

Yep! Looked into Sattelite too. $500 connection & dish, plus monthly fees.
I have Austar with a dish on my roof, why don't Austar/Foxtel do sattelite Internet? They have everything set up for it!!!
