I have searched the net for many hours today and I am getting frustrated.

I cannot find any instructions on how to use the Long Exposure imaging program 'Desire'. The program itself doesn't even have any instructions, links, hints, tips or Help.

How does this program work????? Or where can I find the instructions?

HELP!

Just had a quick look,
In the install folder probably C:\Program Files\Desire theres a help file desire.htm just double click to open a browser.

hope this is what you are looking for.

Try this

Open you favourite web browser, in the area where you type web addresses copy and paste (or type) file:///C:/Program%20Files/Desire/desire.htm

Should work if you installed the software in the default location

What's a web browser?

Just like being at work :)

Its what you are using now to access IIS, probably Internet Explorer (IE6) or maybe Firefox.

If you look near the top you should see the iis icon and something like http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/.....

If you click on this text if will go blue(?) then just type file:///C:/Program%20Files/Desire/desire.htm over the top and press enter.

Just realised cracked 300 posts at this rate should soon be 400:lol:

Hooray! It works, I've got instructions for Desire. Thanks!!!

Hahaha! The very first instruction: "Plug in the camera connections, both usb and parallel port" and I got it wrong. I only plugged in the parallel port. I thought the USB connection was only for 'Normal' Toucamming.

This may take a while to learn, just like Registax and everything else I attempt!!!

Just noticed, these instructions are for Desire 2.2

I have Desire 4. Hope they work OK. Time will tell

:( :( :( :( :( :(

I can't use the Desire Program after all!!!!

I got it working (thanks to Chris) :)

Captures great clear bright pics in very dark rooms!

BUT! It doesn't give a 'before' image. Only an 'After' image :tasdevil:

I can't aim at an object in the sky because of this. It will only show me what I have captured after I have captured it!!!! How am I supposed to frame an object if I can't see it? :(

Oh well, back to plain ol' normal Toucamming. :o

Set exposure to 0.01. Set No of Exposures to 999. Click start.

Thanks Arthur, I got it worked out sort of OK. I am using 1000 frames at 1 second just like the instructions say!

Tomorrow night I will try your suggestion of 'exposure to 0.01. Set No of Exposures to 999'

You will find it very difficult without tracking, BD. Good luck though.
