Well, there are severe bush fires in this neck of the woods so no follow up imaging will happen tonight!

I have attached a new Venus IR image here showing the true appearance of the lit side next to the 1um infrared view of the night side to give some proportion to the view entire of the entire planet.

What camera are you using, and what were the exposure times?

Sorry mate, I thought I'd responded to this on the earlier thread. The camera is a Mintron 12V1C-EX using exposure time approx 0.5 sec. Telescope 10" @ f10.
