Dob-Driver Roboscope software

Hi,
I am having trouble running the “roboscope” program.

I have tried it on several pc’s with the same result.

What I do is, I open a dos window, type in the location of the files, robo opens and the system tell me ‘basica’ is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program, or batch file.

If I click on the rodo file directly, without opening a dos window, it comes up with
“file not found in 52”

I have no idea why this is happening, can some one help me out here please.

I think that program is written in Basica and saved in the binary mode "P"
So it will need to be run from BasicA or GWBasic in a DOS shell.

I have a copy of Roboscope-4 with source from 1996 is this the version you have. I have also added a planet calculator.

I compiled it as an exe program so it will run directly in Windows but I haven't checked it for a long time. Can you give me some more details of your version.

Hi, thanks for your reply.
The version I have is 5.1 .

Unfortunately I am not very computer friendly, so any advice i get may need more explaining than usual.

what do i need to get basica to run.

please let me know if you require more info.

I have to go out now for a couple of hours. I don't know version 5.1 but it is obviously still written in BasicA and probably not much different to 4.2. Do you have the source code or is it in the protected mode. Read this
