When I took my Venus and Mercury Conjunction (http://www.iceinspace.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=548) images on Friday, I also turned around and faced the other way, and took these long (15 seconds or so) exposure shots of the Hawkesbury River Bridge.
I also created my own diffraction spikes in the second shot using a bridge-side made star-cross filter :D I found 2 small straight firm pieces of dry grass on the ground, set the camera to 10s self-timer, pressed the shutter, and then held the 2 pieces of grass in a "+" pattern across the front of the lens :)
Was a fun experiment, i'll probably make something more permanent that I can use for the night light shots.
