I managed to take some more luminance for this one to finish it off.
LRGB, 180, 30, 30, 30 minutes.

Don't know Stuart doesn't seem quite right probably needs a lot more exposures I think but good effort on a dim one 11.1 vm

Matches the Astrophotographer!! I was planning to do some Ha on it to bring out the nebulous regions, I may have to reconsider...
Thanks? Roger, I can't actually see too much colour in it, hence the above comment. That's the problem with those Hubble pics, they give you false expectations.
Yeah, the companion is small, but it also has some interesting detail. I can see what appears to be a jet coming from the galactic centre, but it is apparently a young galaxy made up from the halo of NGC 1512. It is very blue.

The colour I like is the subtle shades of blue and not quite blue in the galaxy, and the star colour. It helps that you have enough data to make the galaxy nice and smooth.
