Meade 4000 zoom eyepiece

Does anyone know how to get a Meade 4000 zoom eyepiece in australia ? 1.25
It looks like a good eyepiece for me but i cannot find anyone to ship one to australia as Meade will not allow any suppliers to ship outside of the U.S. .
Or is there a way around this that anyone knows about .

I bought a Meade 46 mm and a 5mm series 4000 zoom from astro optical in south aussie they were having a sale on them last month maybe they have some.
Good eyepieces.

OPT wont send out of america under agreement with Meade so im assuming that seans may be in the same boat . Ill try Astro Optical , calling now . Thanks guys , ive been looking for more aussie distributors and telescope suppliers but ive missed that one .

UPDATE looks like the Meade 4000 series isnt avail in aust at all . The Vixen one costs twice as much but these days apparently the Meade 4000 out of asia isnt any good .

The Lunt 7.2 - 21.5mm zoom is sharper than the Vixen and the Hyperion has a wider field if you don't mind the size and wide eyecup. Lots of zooms to choose from.

For a first eyepiece purchace im hoping this one is a safe one .
7.2 sounds nice though as i like the thought of smaller after having my mak cass on eq5 for a few months and only having a 24mm to use .



At $299 its twice what i wanted to pay , but . . . . .who ever pays what they WANT to right ?
Hopefully the scope will get some use now as jupiter has been taunting me mightily lately hiding in my large view .

Sorry to hear it doesn't appear to be available in Aus Brendan. It won the zoom EP shoot out recently in Sky at Night mag against likes of TV, Pentax, and the Hyperion. Was going to look at one myself.

you can get the meade zoom from amazon for US 149, then just use a forwarding company to deliver..there is one on the threads here..Another way to buy from the US
the lunt is 149 from optcorp..even with post should be cheaper than 299

Yeah thats where i saw it and decided right there that for the price it was for me .

That forwarding company idea sounds nice but as ive no experience on that im sort of glad ive already blown my dough .
