Hi folks,
Well this one has been a little while in the making with all that smoke around and cloud. Managed 3 good nights in the last month. Some nights the smoke was so thick you could see too about mag 2! :(
Having bought a Astronimik Ha filter last month I was rather keen to get a few hours which I managed a few nights back.
Total of just under 4hrs for color and 2 hours Ha. Looking at the Ha data I would at least need double that as it is still a bit noisy.. DSLR`s for ya!
Blended the Ha with the red channel at around 40%. Had some fun getting the color balance but in the end got a fairly decent result.
Oh imaged with the TV genesis and modded 20D. Still some blueish halos around the brighter stars but that`s what you get with the genesis! Not quiet a APO.
Happy with the result all the same. I shall go over this next full moon!
