Hi there,

I have just gotten a Samsung Omnia Icon phone running Windows Mobile 6.1. I have been looking at Astronomy software for the phone but come accross in some of the descriptions that it is designed for "Ewe enabled" computers. Last time I looked, a Ewe was a female sheep or the name of a group of people from Africa.

Can somebody shine some light on what "ewe enabled" means.

Also if anyone can give me the address of web sites where I can get good software for my phone.

Much appreciated.

Paul

Google boy does it again.

What is Ewe?

Ewe is a programming system that allows you to write applications, using Java, which run exactly the same on desktop systems, on mobile systems, and even in a Web browser as an Applet.

Hello there,

Multiweb, sorry to shatter your illusion but where I am seeing this stuff about Ewe, its not on the phone or anything to do with the phone itself. Ewe was mentioned in the blurb describing the programmes that are for Ewe enabled computers.

tlgerdes, thank you so much for your information. I was thinking Ewe enabled was going to mean something like the computer had to have some component or device to allow the programmes to run.

Thanks for your help, I had better get downloading then.
